For over ten years, Alisha Westbomke has been bringing people and jambit together – with passion, experience, and a clear view of the bigger picture. In this interview, she shares what excites her most about her work, reflects on a very special moment in her career – and reveals what matters to her beyond recruiting.
1. How do you take your coffee?
At the office, a cappuccino with oat milk from the portafilter machine. At home, one from the Bialetti.
2. What do you enjoy most about your work as a recruiter?
Accompanying candidates on their journey to becoming jambitees and supporting them through their probation period – and seeing how they grow and that we’ve found the right fit together.
I also really enjoy that we don’t just focus on traditional recruiting tasks, but actively contribute to jambit’s strategic development through POZ projects.
3. You’ve been with jambit for over 10 years – is there a moment you look back on especially fondly?
The celebration of my 10-year anniversary was pretty special. It happened during the jupdays, and when all the jambitees I had hired stood up, I felt really proud – there were quite a lot of them!

4. What advice would you give to future applicants?
Be authentic and true to yourself, stay open and curious – there are no wrong questions. Be excited about helping shape and grow jambit – whether in client projects, knowledge sharing, or by bringing jambitees together through hobby groups.
5. Where can we find you when you’re not working?
Outdoors with my family, preferably – or enjoying good food with friends.
6. Can you recommend a podcast?
Unfortunately, I don’t get to listen to podcasts as often as I’d like. But when I do, I enjoy the SZ podcast "Auf den Punkt”or "Was jetzt?" from Zeit Online – quick and informative.
