Meetup: Cryptocurrency - From Gold to Bitcoin and Facebook Libra

Facebook's Libra Coin - Technology, Impact & Risks

In June 2019, Facebook officially announced their new cryptocurrency Libra. But how does Libra work and what impact will it have on the industry? The cryptocurrency meetup on July 15, 2019 at jambit will take a closer look at these questions and at the evolution of money and cryptocurrencies in general. The meetup is aimed at both newbies and pros to learn about crypto and to discuss the future.

In the first talk, Florian Grummes from Midas Touch Consulting will outline the evolution and definition of money, and afterwards explain more about the crypto bubble and decentralised currencies. Subsequently, our jambitee Mathias Michel will explain Facebook's Libra Coin and share his views on its possible impact and risks. Mathias is a software architect from our jambit New Business department, owns 15 cryptocurrencies and is a blockchain enthusiast.

If you are interested and want to learn more about cryptocurrencies, feel free to join us at the jambit headquarters in Munich. Anyone can take part for free. Please sign up directly via the Meetup platform: https://www.meetup.com/de-DE/Fintech-Camp-Chapter-Munich/events/261891854
