What sets our nearshoring services apart from others?

We combine German quality standards with Armenian specialists on site. Our nearshoring services combine German project methodology with Armenian agility. We deliver top IT performance and adaptable cost models.

All contracts are concluded with jambit Germany, which means that responsibility lies entirely in Germany. This includes GDPR compliance and EU data protection standards.

Furthermore, we offer tailor-made teams instead of mass outsourcing. jambit builds dedicated, integrated project teams. This means there are no anonymous resource capacities.

We focus on quality rather than quantity. Each Armenian team works just like our employees at our German locations. They take on strategic projects for our customers in the DACH region.

Our many years of experience as a premium service provider set us apart from pure price competition in Eastern Europe or Asia. Our customers receive high-quality nearshoring without the risk of a classic shoring experiment.

What distinguishes our nearshoring offering from others

What are the advantages of hybrid German-Armenian teams?

With our mixed teams of German and Armenian developers, we can guarantee stronger internal control. The hybrid model benefits from diverse perspectives and a robust structure.

Armenia has a growing IT sector. Many tech-savvy engineers work there. They are particularly strong in the areas of backend development, frontend development, mobile app development, cloud, DevOps, and AI.

Why did we choose Yerevan as our location?

Member of the Council of Europe

Armenia has been a member of the Council of Europe since 2001. There is also an agreement on a close partnership between the EU and Armenia (CEPA, since March 1, 2021). This agreement aligns business practices in Armenia with European standards. Many Armenian IT companies already work with US and EU customers, including Microsoft, Synopsys, NVIDIA, and Siemens.

A secure, powerful, and centralized technical infrastructure in Munich ensures seamless collaboration between the locations. In addition, there are clear data protection agreements between jambit and jambit.am. Furthermore, not only jambit Germany but also jambit Armenia is TISAX certified.

With a partner like jambit: GDPR-compliant, German contract law, proven processes.

Scaling without compromising quality

Armenian teams have international project experience, especially with German and Western European clients. Many Armenian developers are accustomed to agile working. Typical nearshore challenges such as quality assurance or project management can be easily managed with appropriate support. Projects can be planned within budget and still be implemented to a high standard.

Projects with jambit Armenia can be quickly scaled without compromising on quality or controllability.

Economically attractive

Armenia is very attractive economically due to its significantly lower daily rates than in the DACH region and Eastern Europe. Projects can be planned in line with your budget and still be implemented to a high standard. At jambit, we offer you, our customer, a unique model: GDPR-compliant, German contract law, proven processes.

There are no hidden risks when working with jambit. We work with transparent and controlled costs and calculable ROI.

Frequently asked questions

What does nearshoring mean?

Nearshoring means that a company relocates business processes or parts of the supply chain to a nearby country. Locations in Eastern Europe are often preferred for this purpose. Offshoring, on the other hand, means relocation to distant countries, e.g. in Asia. Nearshoring offers advantages such as:

  • low travel costs,
  • similar or identical time zones,
  • fewer cultural differences,
  • easier communication,
  • and shorter response times.
What makes Yerevan special in the field of software development?

The location gives us access to over 58,700 IT specialists with training in computer science, mathematics, and engineering. Yerevan is an up-and-coming IT hub with substance and excellent education systems, including innovative programs such as TUMO, which already introduces students to IT and design in a targeted manner.

Armenia has 15 universities offering bachelor's degrees in computer science. STEM universities and practical innovation centers such as TUMO, Armath Labs, and Microsoft Innovation Center strengthen practice-oriented teamwork, as is common in Europe.

Armenia offers access to excellent and motivated talent. The areas of software development, embedded systems, web technologies, and QA are particularly strong.

How does the collaboration between jambit Germany and jambit Armenia work?

  • Daily stand-ups and sprint rituals run smoothly across locations
  • Software development life cycle (SDLC) is organized in Jira – including planning, ticketing, progress tracking, and sprint management.
How close is it to Europe in terms of culture and operations?

Armenia has a strong European influence in terms of culture and business, which facilitates cooperation between different teams. In addition, English language skills and, in some cases, even German language skills are widespread in the IT sector. The understanding of values and work culture harmonize well with German and European standards.

The time difference of only 2-3 hours is manageable in agile everyday working life. The flight time of 4-5 hours also simplifies regular on-site visits and project integration. Compared to Yerevan, a typical offshoring destination such as India has a flight time of at least 7.5 hours and a time difference of 4.5-5.5 hours. Therefore, with our location in Yerevan, regular on-site workshops or audits are easily possible.

With our targeted integration, communication and collaboration work efficiently.
