Personnel Development with Vertrauenslernzeit at jambit

From app development, implementation of an AI workshop to a big data project: jambit's software developers support not only in different service areas but also in different industries. Knowledge is an advantage for our jambitees because they can apply it directly in their work. And for our partners and customers this knowledge is a clear competitive advantage, because we staff their projects with top trained employees. And this can also be proven – for example by the necessary certificate in the area of cloud know-how. A very helpful way to gain knowldege is jambit's Vertrauenslernzeit: kind of an honor system for trust-based studying hours. Our jambitees Alexandra Mächtel and Marco Spörl talked about this tool in Leonid Lezner's company radio podcast.

How to Describe Vertrauenslernzeit?

To offer our customers the best possible software service, the skills of our employees are the key of our individual personnel development. Five days of continuing professional development (CPD) per year, a variety of up-to-date CPD courses, created and constantly updated by our knowledge management and personnel development team, and many internal events. A special tool of our top-of-mind culture is the Vertrauenslernzeit we have developed ourselves.

It allows employees to book up to 50 % of the time they spend studying and acquiring knowledge as working time. We want to motivate employees to engage in continuous learning, both at work and in their free time. They can book unlimited Vertrauenslernzeit, depending on how diverse and relevant the topic is for jambit and our customers. It gives jambitees the freedom, trust and responsibility to decide for themselves which tool, programming language or methodology is important for their professional development as well as the success of the software projects.

Vertrauenslernzeit Bene& Nadja

Freedom and Responsibility for an Agile Learning Culture

Anyone who has completed school, university or an apprenticeship knows that studying and learning are active processes and require a certain degree of effort. Motivation as well as the discipline and freedom to pursue the topics and ideas that really interest you, are important for learning success. People like to study and learn in the office with the first cup of coffee, in a group at a workshop, Communities of Practice or meetup or on the couch late at night. Preferences are very individual.

Apart from this aspect, there are also organisational challenges for a company. Our modern CPD management at jambit can develop up-to-date CPD courses in cooperation with our employees and offer them proactively. However, the entire dynamic and global learning world and its offers can never be completely and simultaneously mapped. Therefore, we offer employees the opportunity to acquire technological and methodical contents quickly and self-determinedly. From cloud know-how to big-data knowledge that flows into training sessions for customers. Our customers advantage from a software service provider that reacts dynamically and promptly to market developments and staffs projects with highly trained software developers.

  • "Software developers are used to obtaining necessary skills independently and immediately through a variety of channels. No one knows this better than our jambitees themselves. By offering freedom and self-responsibility with the Vertrauenslernzeit, we create real, individual personnel development, motivate the jambitees to perform at their best and design our customer projects in the best possible way".
